Your mission
  • Lead a disruptive ultrastable microwave R&D project that aims to convert cutting-edge innovation into a product 
  • Participate in the implementation and characterization of a prototype
  • Coordinate the cooperation with external project partners
  • Build complex laser systems including free-space and fiber optics, mode-locked fiber lasers, frequency combs, vacuum components, and control electronics
  • Contribute to the continuous development of current products to reach higher TRL, and conceive and realize new functionalities by exploring innovative applications
Your profile
  • Ph.D. in physics, photonics, laser technology, electrical engineering, or a related field, preferably with postdoctoral research experience or 2-3 years of industrial experience in the high-tech sector
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mode-locked lasers, ideally optical frequency combs, ultra-stable and CW lasers, high-finesse cavities, and stabilization electronics, combined with several years of project management experience
  • Systematic and analytical way of thinking
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit
  • Open to occasional business trips 
  • Excellent English and German language skills
